M.E. Monday ~ 5-2-11

Genie’s Desk.....
Believe it or not, I got the upstairs office cleaned up enough tonight that I was able to actually make an M.E. post for the first time in weeks. It still has a long ways to go, but I can work at my little table now. Am in the middle of some genealogy research so have had papers in piles all over the room. Now it is clean enough for me to go and mess it up again. Ah, such is life.

“If your house is really a mess and a stranger comes to the door, greet him with, “Who could have done this? We have no enemies.” ~ Phyllis Diller

Happy M.E. Monday to all of you.
Stop by Cherry Chick Jewelry to see other M.E.Monday posts. Vicki is our host, and she has more M.E. goodies than anyone else I have ever known.

  1. My horizontal surfaces periodically get cleaned up, too, and I love it when they look like that, but it doesn't last long. Your desk top looks great--very tidy and attractive!

  4. It looks very tidy!! Thanks for your comment and your enthusiasme! It's encouraging to meet people like you! My knowledge of English is quite limited, so I have a question: What does "to crash the seeding"mean? My dictionary leaves me in the lurch, for a language is living and changing from day to day.Thank you anyway for your very kind comments!

  6. Hi Genie! Thanks for your comment! How horrible it is that so many innocent people were killed. I shall never forget the images of 911.What I meant to say is: the satisfaction of the death of Osama bin Laden is different from the joy of the happy Royal Couple, which created a feeling of fellowship. Osama bin Laden created hatred and revenge, which goes on and on.
The sentence you wrote in your comment on the Royal Wedding was: "Wil....Just wanted to let you know I crashed the seeding at 4Am EST. Almost fell asleep at school, but it was OK". It was a nice comment. I only don't know this expression. Thanks for helping.

  7. Hi Genie! Thanks for the explanation and the laugh! The news about Bin laden is so important that we have seen it broadcast all day long. Everybody is reliefed that this man is dead. What a wasted life he had. He is also a coward to use a woman as his shield!! Well I hope that the world is a bit safer now! It's midnight here and I am turning in now. Have a nice rest of the day, Genie!

  13. Hi Sweetie,
I know I have been missing. So little time these days. I miss parts of the "old days" when I had time to surf the web and keep up with all my freinds.
I hope you got the time to work and mess up your desk again. It's such a cycle...clean up...mess up...clean up...lol.
    Happy Mother's Day to you!

  14. Thanks, Genie, for the nice comments on my granddaughter--she is a cutie! You are so right about life-- a never ending cycle of cleaning up, then the mess, cleaning up, then the mess-and on and on and on. I don't know who the sculptor is for the children's statue, but I will call our Botanical Gardens and let you know. We have many bronzes all around the gardens and they are beautiful. Have a great week. Mickie :)
