9-9-16 ~ Day 30 ~ My Sacred Place & Art Work from the Week

365 Days Spirit Art Journaling

Here are some things I have done this week. I have been down and under with really BAD allergies, and have spent ages feeling like I have the flu and a breathing disorder. Bud cannot stand the wheezing. He says he can hear it across the room. I am allergic to EVERYTHING pretty outside and anything with just or mold inside at this time of the year...and especially Trouble his cat. He is the worst.  I cannot go near him.

My Etemani Cards for the Week
Bud's Romas are still coming in but all that are left are green.

He brought me in another purple sweet pepper, and this one was lots bigger that the others but still small. I decided to try to draw it again. This time I made it as a note card on watercolor paper.

This is my first attempt at trying to draw a Marigold. Bud loves them, and he plants them all over the place. This was the best I could do.

This is my doodle for the week. I felt so crummy that I laid in bed and doodled affirmations trying to pull myself up by the bootstraps. The stippling does not show up well here, but it does on the paper.

This is a watercolor of a little girls of days long past with her popcorn while sitting on the fence. I am trying to learn to paint lips so this is a beginner's try.

  1. Am I right in thinking you used one of your beautiful photos as a background. It is a lovely scene you create with the words.

  2. I just love your drawings. I have been ill this week. I have been wheezing too. Hubby said the dog was on my chest trying to figure out the noises as I slept.
    Feel better.

  3. I really admire your watercolors. I feel artwork doesn't look as good on a blog post as it really is. Blogger messes it up in some way. I hope you get to feeling better soon. Just imagine how bored you'd be in bed if not for having your art to keep you company.

  7. I live in the country and my back property is woods. You make me want to go there. It is a shame that I get too busy to enjoy the nature that surrounds. Your sacred place has inspired me. Love it all.

  8. Aww Genie, sorry to hear you've been feeling so bad with your allergies, it must be awful to feel like you can't breathe. How do you manage in spring? That's the very worst time here for hayfever sufferers. Btw, my granddaughter would be in complete agreement with you about purple, she looooves purple ☺☺

  10. Allergies-ugh!! Took me months to get rid of my eye troubles due to allergies. I looked like I was constantly crying ( or drinking) as the eyes had a constant watery bloodshot look. Feel better soon. Love your range of art projects-especially your doodle page. happy PPF!

  11. First of all, so sorry to hear about your health troubles. Best wishes for a quick recovery.
All your art here is the kind of art I love.
    Going backwards -
The little girl on the fence is so natural, it's a super drawing.
There is so much detail and fun in your "doodle drawing". Love the mummy pushing the pram with her little girl by her side.
Your marigold and fun purple painting are great too, they show the essence of each, which is much better than a realistic painting (in my opinion!).
And the first piece definitely is magical. I like the way you have made the colourful block letters and the girl reading to the attentive cat.
I enjoyed all the art on this post very much.

  14. It looks like a lovely art week even though you were not feeling well. Everyone should have a sacred place by a creek it helps you to reconnect with the simple important things. Your fruit and veggie cards are wonderful and your bed doodling is fabulous. Don't give up on your watercolors you are really coming along...she is so cute and happy. Have a wonderful week.

  19. Thank you for the kind comments about my sketches. Yours are bold and spontaneous, which I love. Some people never get brave enough to draw with ink.

I doubt there is a way to add a google+ site to your sidebar, which is odd, since Blogger is a google product, but I appreciate the thought.

Although you made so much lovely art and I love it all. Especially your doodle page gives me cause to wonder, it's adorable! 22. Oh dear so sorry about your allergies I know this well. My daughter was plagued with them something fierce and was beside herself. She started drinking youthberry by teavanna and jade citrus in the winters...plus she narrowed down an allergy to eggs...her allergies have improved 90 percent. Do some nutrition reading and see if you can't get a handle on food changes to feel healthier. She feels like she got her life back just by changing a few things. She took eggs out of her diet too but takes an allergy pill to eat a cookie with a trace of egg in it...Eggs are in so many things... Hope you too can find some resolve!! Lovely artwork! I can tell you love flowers as much as I do! Wish they loved you back!! Feel better soon!!

    Hugs Giggles
