Being from the ocean and Florida, seeing the field with the hay rolled into bales is a site I adore. The funnest one is getting behind the SLOW moving truck taking the bales to the right fields where they are needed. These fields are on the road to my home.
Love the round bales!
ReplyDeleteLovely summer scenes :-)
ReplyDeletei love it, too, genie. it is like a sign that all is right with the world...
ReplyDeleteOut west they are rectangular in shape so I always enjoy seeing the rolled up hay during my travels. Makes me think that is where my Nabisco Shredded Wheat cereal comes from. Did Troubles come home?
ReplyDeletedon't see a lot of round bales here. they do still harvest them into the round ones, but tend to know use squares/rectangles because people were getting run over by the round ones running downhill o.0
ReplyDeleteThe countryside in a couple of your photos look almost English. Except for the old rusty gate - that could be here where I live.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos Genie! I wish I saw scenes like this more often.
ReplyDeleteI am with you, Genie. I love seeing hay bales in the fields & your shots around the countryside are great! Love the close up of the post & red gate.
ReplyDeleteI have found you on the new blog at last. The fields look very well done with the hay balls.

ReplyDeleteThere is something so peaceful about a countryside scene with scattered hay bales. Love the first scene particularlyu. Great photos. And I was thrilled to find your link at my Scenic Weekends meme. Wonderful to see you again.

ReplyDeleteLove these hay bale photos and the barns from your last post too. They are really nice photos and very serene. I'd love to be walking down a road next to those views. It would be great! Hugs-Erika
