Etegami for Day 4

My Doodling Journal
I press every flower petal I can find in a very large and old wine book
about the wines of the world. It is heavy and really does the job well.

Sorry about the dark spots. This is in my Doddle Journal on the tan paper.
I have not figured out the correct way to take pictures of the pages, yet.
We think the top leaf is from an elm from all the trees at back of house.
Bud and I think the second one comes  from one of our maple trees.
The dark spots looking greenish/blue spots and are here and there all over the leaf.
As you can seem it also has a hole in it.

This is the first time I have ever tried to sketch  mandala freehand
so please excuse the wavy lines. It was the best I could do.

  1. I love this. You have found a good way to express yourself even when you don't feel well. Good job.

  2. Fabulous art and lovely uplifting post, I love it all!
I know what you mean about taking photos of your work too, I get frustrated when 'it' doesn't look right because the paper isn't flat or the sun is causing shadows etc - but your photos are great :)
Have a lovely weekend.... Gill x

  3. Fantastic art and pages. It was a lovely post to read and the photos look super.

  4. those are great leaves :D lots of nice art this week

  5. These are wonderful. I especially like the first two. The mandala is much better than I could do. I wouldn't know how to start. Those that do them use a compass and protractor to create their designs. Its been WAY TOO LONG since I did geometry in school. The leaf stippling is awesome. Great idea! Well done all Genie.

  6. Came over from Biebkreibels...We should find our paths more often and not all be on the same path.
    Coffee is on

  16. A lovely series of artwork Genie. I had fun looking at each one. Thanks for stopping by. To answer your question about the galleries I prefer between DC and London, would you believe I did not get to the art galleries in London? We were going to them but just ran out of time. So I don't know how to compare. I just love the ones in DC and I'm glad you got to see the London Art Gallery, a pleasure I have yet to experience.

  17. Lovely work, Genie! I like your illustrated interpretations. :)

  18. Fantastic art pieces. I love the path art and how you put those words on the top of the page. Really made me study it and think about it, and that is what art is suppose to do. Hugs-Erika

  19. you are creating so many gorgeous art pieces. Not sure how you manage to do that. Love it! The sketches of the leaves are stunning :)
